The research log

A growing body
of questions.

Review dates show when we checked a source. They do not mean a subject is settled or that every new paper is monitored.

A visible trail of care: original conceptual editorial illustration
A visible trail of careA dated editorial record, not a promise of continuous monitoring.

  • Clearer paths through the collection. A searchable guide directory, three reading sequences and contextual next steps connect current source-reviewed work. Search runs locally without saving queries. Descriptive page metadata improves clarity without claiming rankings or traffic.
  • Color in context. A new Light & color path connects an original screen comparison, historical art-teaching sources and an optional exact-edition reading reference. No-purchase choices and commission disclosures sit beside the next-step buttons.
  • Start with the room. A practical, source-linked light checklist connects observation, reversible placement changes and label reading to the existing task-light and decorative-light pathways. Includes an original conceptual illustration and expandable decision paths; no visitor information is collected.
  • Task-first product pathways. Exact-maker lighting, a decorative rainbow-maker, concert preparation and repair-tool examples now include dated specifications, prices, limitations and no-purchase alternatives. These are manufacturer-document references, not hands-on tests or affiliate relationships.

  • Three practical field guides. Meaningful Gifts and Concert & Travel Essentials extend Action & ritual; Repair & Material Care extends Materials & objects. Founder-made references distinguish purchase requests, an unreleased design and a material study. Sources and current status travel with each example.

28 October 2026

  • Five connected study areas opened. Light, sound, materials, space and ritual each have a reading path, with the Light Edit as a practical branch of Light & color.
  • Foundations added. Short source-linked introductions to light measurement and sound terminology.
  • Materials inquiry opened. A copper evidence map and one copper-bracelet trial note, with separate boundaries for nutrition, surfaces and wearables.
  • Action & ritual opened. A brief 2017 experiment note that distinguishes a neural measure from a performance outcome.
  • Open work made visible. Space, cultural histories, color/prisms, listening environments and product-specific material research remain labeled outlines.
  • Practical example retained. The Light Edit’s manufacturer-document example remains separate from research findings and does not imply hands-on testing.

No publication cadence, automatic monitoring or future completion date is promised. Substantive additions and corrections will be recorded here with their sources and review dates.
